Gabriel’s Story

At the age of 6, Gabriel began having seizures. His family took him to hospitals near their home in Puerto Rico, but doctors were unable to find what was wrong. The experts at Cincinnati Children’s were able to diagnose Gabriel with a rare inflammatory neurological disease that needed surgery. The family uprooted their lives and moved to Cincinnati for care.

Megan’s Story

At the age of 15, Megan had her first seizure. Before long, she was having them every day. With the help of a stereo EEG, a form of robotic technology used to pinpoint her seizures and laser ablation surgery, she is now seizure free.

Frannie’s Story

Frannie was born with tuberous sclerosis complex, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in many different organs. When Fannie began experiencing frequent seizures as a result of TSC, she came to Cincinnati Children's for treatment.
