Our immersive Cancer Rehabilitation Program extends far beyond standard occupational or physical therapies. As well as returning patients to normal activity, our goal is to help them continue to grow and progress towards important developmental milestones.

What if I’m in school?

We know that life doesn’t stop while undergoing treatment. That’s why we have a School Intervention Program that uses next generation evaluations techniques, bedside teachers, and dedicated staff to coordinate families and schools in order to help students stay on track and reintegrate into the classroom. Our school intervention specialists also help young adults pursue their academic and vocational goals.

Do you treat older patients?
Show

Yes. Our comprehensive approach to cancer care for young adults and adolescents focuses on preserving patients’ growth and development throughout treatment. At Cincinnati Children’s, we treat patients up to age 35 and provide age-appropriate environments, educational services and peer support.

Show

Specialists from our Comprehensive Fertility Care and Preservation Program help families understand how cancer therapy might affect a patient’s ability to have children in the future, and what the fertility preservation options may be.
