  • Patient’s name

How do I transfer my child or relative’s care to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital?

All referrals from outside hospitals have to be initiated by a patient’s doctor. We cannot contact doctors or hospitals about transferring patients who are not already under our care. If you would like to transfer care, please have a discussion with your doctor and they will contact us directly to arrange the transfer.

Some patients with HLH are very sick, and only the treating doctor will be able to determine if your child or relative is well enough to be safely transferred to Cincinnati Children’s.

Can my doctor speak with someone at Cincinnati Children’s about HLH?

Our physicians are always very happy to speak with other physicians about HLH, and do so routinely. Your doctor can call the physician line at 866-213-1701 or Contact the HLH Center.

If you did not see the answer to your question, please call 855-346-6627 or Contact the HLH Center.
